Hoopenburg Shiraz 2015
Some of the best Shiraz find their origins in Stellenbosch . Being cooler, the region gives the wine body and intensity. This wine is smooth and rich, well structured, with notes of delicate mingling spice on the nose. Fresh aromas of dark fruit are aplenty.

This is a classic Rhone style blend with lots of depth on the pallet with spice and black berry on the nose.
Nose – Mulberries and whiffs of cinnamon, dried herbs and liquorice with very subtle spices in the background.
Palate – Forward fruit at first, structured mid-palate, with lovely elegance, finishing with silky savoury tannins. The wine has a sinewy strength to keep it in perfect shape for ?5 years.

A rich, complex wine with soft flavours of plums and peppercorn. The vanilla and spice flavours linger on the palate. Although easy drinking and well balanced, this wine will develop in the bottle for at least another five years.

Gorgeous crimson colour. Lightly spicy and delicately berried on the nose and palate. The initial mouthfeel is quite sumptous, but this elegant Shiraz finishes fairly dry. A good accompaniment to light red meat dishes or ostrich, oxtail and venison.
